I'm pretty sure that ZOMBIELOVER313 has it right.

The main character has a fractured personality. The doctor that can spell and uses proper grammar is the original character. The ignorant hillbilly is the psyche that he retreats into when he can't face up to his actions and/or the PAW.

Great story, BTW, Edward. I haven't looked -- do you have other work posted?

Interesting story! It kept me wanting more and I think that what was happening was that the narrator was two people in one body. His sober medical side and his other drunken persona that eventually with all the tramua became in the end the dominant voice of the narrator. He keeps mentioning losing time and having hangovers. I think as he tries to cope with the current state of things his alcoholism takes over and begins to deteriorate his ability to discern reality. I really enjoyed this story it made me think! Ouch! Great job!

I think its about reality shifts...both narratives are the same person in different paradigms..I guess...

From wthe way that I read it I wonder if the doctor was brain damaged and he was writing both parts, the second part being after the army came and beat him senseless.

Pretty cool story, though I don't quite get it. When I first finished reading, I thought perhaps that the two different viewpoints were from the same guy, brain damaged after the soldier's attack and perhaps also from the radiation poisoning, but then again, the succession of dates would lead me to believe that theory is wrong. Then, I thought perhaps you were giving the perspectives of two different medicine men, one a doctor and one a hillbilly of some sort...please clarify!

Is the shitty spelling meant to portray the illiteracy of the character?

First Rate. I was teleported into the grotesque world of the doctor. I think it deserves a better title because the story is so much better than you think it will be from just reading the moniker. But make no mistake, this tale is great. I love this story.
