Wow! What a horror story. This is the true meaning of horror. I know more about vampires than zombies, I afraid.

Why, that's a crazy story, my friend. I've always thought about what it'd be like if zombies could talk; like what they'd tell us. I imagined a story today about a guy whose best friend, a sarcastic, cynical fellow, was infected by the zombies. Before he could reanimate, the guy shoved him into a closet and now stands an endless vigil. The thing is, unlike the other zombies, his friend is still lucid, and desite still wanting to eat something- or someone-, he's still sane enough to remember their childhood days, and their time together in college, and when the infectd guy first set off for his tour of duty, and his friend threw him a beer bottle as the ship sailed off, making him promise not to drink it until he returned. As a result, the uninfected guy can't bring himself to kill his own friend.

A.L is talented. I like his work very much. This story is but a single star in the much larger universe which is his career. A.L, best of luck in 2009.

some people seem to forget that the original zombies from the vincent price years often talked and didn't eat people. Romero's zombies are the most popular but he broke canon with the flesh eating. Good story reminded me of creep show.

ok lets review...You've taken zombies and turned them into some kind of vampire super-soldier. I would just like to point out as someone with an intimate knowledge of ER trauma cases and human anatomy--which becoming a zombie does NOT change--that no matter whether you're alive or dead, you CAN'T move a leg thats not attached to your body! It has no working synapses, and cannot receive a signal from the brain. PERIOD!!! Other than those two major issues, great story. Very well put together. Just a few very important flaws.

good story.

i liked reading about the new idea in terms of how the zombies were infected, and the different way they were able to handle themselves and appear.
