Patrick. As a budding writer in this genre I am absolutely captivated by your stories, if you can call them that. It is more like Poetry than story writing. Every word that you use seems to have had its own moment in your mind. Used only to further the characters and situations they are in. I applaud you Sir. Hands down, you are the best that this site has to offer. Thank You for giving us this remarkable literature.

I really liked the gun descriptions. but i have always been into guns. and really enjoy storys like this.

My eyes did get a little glazed over during the gun descriptions, but it was also really interesting and made everything seem a lot more realistic. If he’d just picked up Desert Eagles and started blasting…well, I wouldn’t have known any better, but by you describing the heaviness and the kick back and even the fact that some of the guns injured his hands just made the story that much more engrossing. I had no problem with the vocabulary and from the story I could easily deduce that infection was not transferrable. I’ve seen similar zombie creation in movies. Anyway, good job and I look forward to seeing what happens to this guy…very likable and smart character. I love the way he’s not getting a kick out of killing zombies but is doing what he has to do to survive. How long was he in the bathroom? Must’ve been taking a dump…coffee does that to me, too. (Grin)

I think the gun description part is just fine. For those who don’t know guns it adds insight that hollywood and TV don’t explain. How many times have you seen a hero from a movie put a .50 cal machine gun to their hip and just tear loose?

The ending part about the “Easy days being over” is excellent.

Can’t wait to read more.
