Good stuff! I often worry that when we die, we are still conscious, though unable to speak. I imagine that we can see and hear our family grieving, know we are being buried underground and feel ourselves rotting away.

Oh man! What a great story! I feel completely outclassed as a writer reading great stuff like this. It really works too. I often felt that these zombies probably would exist trapped in a horrid killing machine unable to control themselves and living in total torment. It plays right into the legend “when there is no more room in hell”. It’s as if God has just given up on us and the virus is here to clean us out without regard to who it takes out. Those infected and not destroyed live in hell.
