    1. The background to this is that I knew Dan did artwork and so I got talking to him at a party about the fact I wanted some artwork to go with my stories, just in case I decided to self publish. He sent me some concept work which had different ideas for The Minister, but none of them were quite right so we discussed it and I didn’t hear from him for a few weeks.

Then we were at a friends house last Saturday with a few people, the kids were running around and we had a few beers. I didn’t know Dan was coming, so when he arrived we got chatting and he pulled out a USB stick “Oh I’ve got one image that you might like” he said. We acquired a laptop and when he passed it to me, Well. My heart started racing, my mouth went dry and my legs went numb. I passed the laptop to my wife and she visibly gasped. “Oh my God its him!” She said.

It really is him as well, and I mean exactly. Not an approximation but exactly as I pictured him, from the black eyes to his age and the texture of his skin. So if you wanted to know what he looked like while I was writing the stories, this is it.

Its a combination of drawing, painting and digital work and contains the skin textures from approximately 20 different people.

Its truly chilling in my opinion, and I can’t thank Dan enough for it, so I got his permission and submitted it to Ryan so you guys could see it.

As a footnote I showed it to my daughter who is two and a half, who backed away scared from the picture. I got in a bit of trouble from my wife for that, and have probably given my little girl a lifelong fear of Priests. Oh dear.

    5. Pete, I really do like the artwork, gave me the willies. The image is just as I pictured the Minister, creepy!

    6. What a creepy bastard. Good job on getting an “I want to eat you” face.

    7. I liked the pic. Gives me something to visualize when reading the stories.

Pete, considering the goings on now, maybe a slight fear of Priests is a healthy thing?

    8. Well it wasn’t intentional, I promise. :)
