ROMERO’S WALKING DEAD ZOMBIES By Robert Best
December 26, 2012  Short stories   Tags:

(sung to “Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer”)

You know Dracula and Frankenstein,

and werewolves and aliens.

Giant spiders and lizards,

demons and phantoms.

But do you recall,

the most scariest movie monster of all?

Romero’s Walking Dead Zombies,

everyone they want to eat.

And if you ever saw them,

you’ll have to use your feet.

All of the other monsters,

evade, plan and fume.

They never try swarm you,

just for the reason to consume.

Then October 1, 1968,

George premiered his show.

When the first zombie appeared on the screen,

we all cried, winced and scream.

Suddenly, other monsters seemed over-rated,

as victims ran to flee,

Romero’s walking dead zombies,

you’ll go down in history.
